Frequently Asked Questions

A:    At The Shelly Company, we take pride in our efforts to reclaim the land. We currently have two sites we no longer mine that have been transformed into wildlife habitat sites – the Dresden Wildlife Habitat Site and the Montpelier North Wildlife Site. Our Dresden location has been certified by the Wildlife Habitat Council as a Corporate Lands for Learning location. The Montpelier site is beginning that process, and those involved are hopeful for WHC designation in the coming years.
